What services does CHH offer?
CHH offers individual, couples, child, and family therapy. We do not provide access to healthcare, psychological testing or psychiatric care. When necessary we will provide appropriate referrals.
How much are the counseling sessions?
It is our intention to provide the community with access to professional counseling. The Center for Hope and Healing offers psychotherapy services on a sliding fee scale basis, dependent on availability and the financial need of the client.
Does CHH take insurance?
Depending on your insurance coverage, CHH is able to bill some PPO insurance plans. In some instances, a receipt of therapy services from CHH is sufficient for you to send into your insurance carrier for reimbursement. Please contact your provider to understand the details of your mental health coverage. At this time, we are not participating in any health insurance panels and therefore do not bill HMOs.
In addition, check with your human resources department regarding "flexible spending" plans or Employee Assistance Programs that might be available to you and your family.
I'm worried about privacy. Are you a confidential service?
Yes we are a confidential service and we are bound by law to keep you and the contents of your therapy sessions confidential within the scope of the legal and ethical codes of the State of California. Please be advised that there are exceptions when it comes to safety, abuse reporting laws, and court mandates. The limits of confidentiality will be covered in your first visit. If you have additional questions regarding privacy please contact us.
How do I chose a therapist?
Our staff will begin assisting you in identifying your needs and goals during our initial conversation. Our staff members will match you with an ideal CHH clinician that we believe will best be able to facilitate and support your growth and healing.
There are many forms and styles of psychotherapy, and not all styles are suited for everyone. We recommend that when choosing a therapist, listen to your intuition regarding your comfort level. Engaging in psychotherapy is often a revealing journey into greater levels of vulnerability, and we recognize this as a sacred process that is a joint effort of courage, dedication and compassion.
